Clare Foundation - Volunteer

Successful recovery depends not only on the clients but on the community as well. CLARE provides many volunteer opportunities that benefit both our organization and the person donating their time. In order to accommodate the interests of our diverse volunteers we offer a wide range of possibilities for individuals and for groups:

Assist Program manager's in any of our Departments
Painting or maintenance on any of our CLARE buildings
Gardening or flower and lawn upkeep
Assisting clients with sorting, pricing or running the register in the bargain center
Leading an arts and crafts project in the Men's or Women's house
Supervise field trips for the Family Center residents (museums, botanical gardens, amusement parks)
Babysitting for the mother's at the Family Center so they can participate in more recovery program activities
Tutoring the children at the Family Center after school
Tutoring at Men's or Women's Recovery Home (reading, writing, arithmetic)
Supervise beach walks with clients
Hold mock interviews for clients for job training
Organize a job fair
Become a mentor for a client
Sponsor a client

In addition to these options we also are open to any suggestions a possible volunteer might have that would highlight their personal skills. Join us!
